NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that is so sad. my dad's job (when he had one) was to get grants for historic district so that they could save old buildings, and he also helped landlords get business owners to occupy downtown (historic) storefronts. It always makes me so sad when beautiful old buildings die.
the guy (Matt Maroun)that owns the building has a ton of money and doesn't care whether or not the building goes into disrepair. really the only people that care about it are local artists and urban explorers. we have a lot of buildings like the MCS in detroit, but at the moment it looks like the first one to go will be the train station. if you go on flickr there are so many awesome pictures of the inside.
