if you're reading this and you live in the area, (or in the burbs...MAKE A TREK OUT) come to NOISE CAMP at the CAID on July 18th (my birthday) my neighbor Aran Ruth is playing a set (which should be really interesting...second year i'm seeing her on my birthday). this should be a crazy night to feel (or not feel) as nihilistic as possible. NOISE CAMP is put on by the Time Stereo collective every year (i don't even know how long it's been going on...but don't care, since it's so good who cares about trivialities on this topic). come by, get a ribbon that says something really great (like Kwame Ate My Baby, Blood Camp, Sleepaway Camp Surprise, etc.), get some sake in a watermelon served by a nurse, get uncomfortable, and all around bothered. you can also get a free noise camp haircut. i believe you can also buy experimental records and DVDs there, too. the event is free (apart from if you want to buy things) so there isn't really an excuse to not come since it's a mindblowing event.
